It turns out I’m pretty resilient. I bounce back.
We took it easy yesterday, stayed out of the way and did some phone calling. Sherry’s sisters and then her Mom. We listened to advice and were encouraged with their agreement with our plan.
I cancelled the insurance today and we’ll save about $1200 a year in insurance payments (I think she’s made one or two payments in the last eight months, so we’ve been paying the bulk of her car expenses).
She called and asked to borrow Sherry’s car for an hour – Sherry said that she would drive Michelle wherever she needed to go and Michelle said that she just wanted to take a drive to get out of Leah’s Mom’s house. Nope.
Michelle has thoroughly wrecked the whole afterglow of going on vacation, so now I’m anxious to get away again. I still have a couple of weeks of vacation left for this year and we’re in October now… Maybe we’ll go to a nice bed and breakfast for a break…
Sherry was assigned a third job yesterday – oh she was Not Amused. Her boss (Johnny) is just barely coping now and he’s got the cold that we’re just recovering from now (four weeks later). Yikes.
I’m thankful that I’m like a rubber ball.
I’m thankful that I bounce back so quickly
I’m thankful that Sherry sticks with me through good and bad.
I know that God wants our marriage to be the bounce in our lives.

Congratulations on being a good parent, taking the hard line, and sticking to it. Prayers have been prayed that this will be the time she finally GETS IT. God bless.
